Keto

Keto is a way of eating that keeps carbohydrates very low and leans on protein, healthy fats and non-starchy vegetables. For most people that means no bread, pasta, rice, potatoes or sugar, and plenty of fish, meat, eggs, cheese, butter, olive oil and greens. Done badly it tastes like a diet. Done well it tastes like a good restaurant dinner.

At OurCheff, our private chefs cook keto every week for clients across Southwest Florida, from Naples to Fort Myers. Gulf-side living means a lot of fresh fish, bright citrus and lighter sauces, and families who want one dinner everyone at the table will eat, keto or not. So we build plates around a great protein, a pan sauce with real flavor, and a vegetable that’s cooked properly, not steamed into submission. Starchy sides get swapped, not just removed: cauliflower mash under a cottage pie, roasted asparagus beside salmon.

A keto recipe earns the CheffApproved name when it passes three tests. First, it’s something our chefs would actually serve a paying client. Second, it uses ingredients you can find at Publix or any regular grocery store, with no specialty powders. Third, every recipe lists estimated net carbs per serving so you can plan your day. Start with our Keto Cottage Pie with Cheesy Cauliflower Mash, Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon-Dill Butter or Creamy Garlic Mushroom Chicken Thighs.

Frequently asked questions

How are net carbs calculated?
We estimate them from USDA nutrition data: total carbohydrates minus fiber, per serving. Brands vary, so treat the numbers as a close guide.

Will non-keto family members like these dinners?
That’s the goal. Our chefs cook for mixed households, so these recipes taste like regular good food. Add rice or bread on the side for anyone who wants it.

Can I meal prep these recipes?
Yes. The cottage pie and chicken thighs reheat well for three to four days in the fridge. Salmon is best eaten fresh.

Do I need special keto ingredients?
No. Everything comes from a regular grocery store.
